
Stephanie Sigman is a Mexican-American actress. Her breakthrough role was in Miss Bala (2011), which was a Mexican crime-drama film. The actress went on to appear in Pioneer (2013), Spectre (2015), Going Under (2016) and Annabelle: Creation (2017). Sigman was the main character in Narcos (2015), S.W.A.T. (2017) and the second season of both of the series. Sigman was born to a Mexican mother and an American dad, Lee Sigman, who is a New York Yankees scout. By virtue of her father, she's the daughter of a U.S. citizen. [2][3][4]She is a U.S. citizen through her father. Her brother was a professional the baseball player Kenneth Ray Sigman married actress Barbara Mori Sigman. Before making her debut in film in Rio de Oro, she started her career as a Mexican TV star. In 2011 she portrayed the lead part of Laura Guerrero in the Mexican crime drama film, Miss Bala. [6] The film was selected as the Mexican entry in the Best Foreign Language Film category at the 84th Academy Awards.[7][8However, it was not included in the final list. [9] Sigman was awarded the Dublin Film Critics Circle Award for her performance as an editor in the film industry in 2011. In 2011 she starred in Catalina Aguado, the Canadian documentary film Flight of the Butterflies. In 2013, Sigman starred with Pioneer which was which was a Norwegian thriller.
