Emily Bett Rickards is a Canadian born actress. Her fame was primarily in the US for her character Felicity Smoak on The CW series Arrow. Rickards, who was raised in British Columbia, is Canadian. Beginning on her career path as a child, she began to explore dancing and musical theatre hoping to eventually introducing herself to more serious acting. Her career path began early, when she graduated high school and went to the Vancouver Film School. There, she completed the Acting Essentials course. Following the completion of the course, she participated in an open-call audition that led her to a booking agent. Alida Vocal Studio was her home for her studies in Vancouver. She was originally signed to appear in one episode of the show, but her positive reactions from the fans as well as her ability to sarcasm led her firstly, as a guest-star and later to co-star in the remaining episodes of season 1.
