Taylor
Taylor Swift has become a rare pop phenomenon: A superstar who crossed over completely from country music to pop culture and became a pop icon that will last forever and conquering all of the world. Swift left country music like it was a second layer of herself, proving that she's possibly the smartest pop-singer/songwriter her generation. Someone who is able to harness the mood of times to make her music personal, and perform in the opposite. Her talents were apparent in some of her first tracks, including the neodue Tim McGraw. But on her sophomore album Fearless released in 2008 Swift was able to discover who she is and find an audience that was large. Fearless was a huge success worldwide, not only in North America (where it was certified as platinum six times for Top Ten Hits Love Story as well as "You Belong with Me") but in Canada, Australia and the U.K. as well as other nations. Swift's second album Speak Now, released just two years after the first one, consolidated the success of this album. The album propelled Swift to the heights of fame. The next three years, her popularity grew -- Red (2012), Reputation (2014), and 1989 (2014-2015) in 2014-2015 as she entered a new arena of pop with her skills already well established. As she cut her style by releasing stripped-down albums like 2020, folklore and Evermore but she was still in the top spot. This position was maintained with the re-recordings she had made from her earlier catalog as along with Midnights which was her chart-topping synth heavy 2022 album.
