Her most well-known work is her Internet character Miranda Sings, posting her videos on YouTube and performing her one-woman comedy act on tour in theatres worldwide, and performing in the Netflix original show called Haters Back Off (2016-2017) about the character. Ballinger created the hilariously incompetent, egotistical and eccentric character to mock the thousands of YouTube videos that feature people who sing poorly in the hope of breaking into the world of showbiz however they appear to be unaware of their lack of talent.Ballinger also has humor and lifestyle videos on her personal YouTube channel as well as a Vlog channel, Colleen Vlogs. Her YouTube channels, when combined have exceeded 5 billion views total. The Miranda Sings channel has more than 10 million subscribers and the persona has over 13 million TikTok followers and 6 million Instagram followers. Ballinger has won the Teen Choice Award in "Web Star: Humor" and a Streamy Award in Best Actress. 4.
